Hi everyone, Steph Ackerman here today wish you a Happy New Year with Bowdabra Happy New Year hats. If you are celebrating New Year’s with friends this year, why not create hats for everyone.
Supplies:
Bowdabra Bow Making Tool
Bow Wire
Paper Mache Hats
Ribbon
Paint
I painted the hats with black paint. For a little sparkle, I painted on a layer of glitter paint. I also painted 2019 which would be added to the hats once they dried. While waiting for the hats to dry, I created the bows.
Using a 3″ wide ribbon, wrap it around the hat.
Start the bow by leaving a 3″ tail. Fold the ribbon in the Bowdabra creating the loops.
Continue creating loops until you have the desired number of loops needed. I created 5 graduating sized loops on each side.
Pull up on the wire and tie off.
Fluff out the bow.
Glue the year to each hat.
Glue the bows to the ribbon.
