Material:
Mini Bowdabra with Hair Bow Tool and Ruler attachment
Mini Bowdabra Bow Wire
Ribbon 2.5″ wide
Chenille Stems
Red pom pom
Hot glue
Antler pattern
Here’s how:
Let’s begin with a seven and a half inch length of 2.5″ wide ribbon. Dovetail the ends by folding the ends together and cutting at an angle from the fold down to the corner end.
Crease the middle of the ribbon and place into the Mini Bowdabra.
Next, pinch the end of a 12-inch length ribbon and place into the Mini Bowdabra.
Pinch the other ribbon end and take up over the Mini Bowdabra tower down into the slot.
Then, crease the center of the ribbon and insert into the Mini Bowdabra.
Scrunch down the ribbon with the Mini Bowdabra Wand.
While the bow is still in the Mini Bowdabra, take the loose ends of the bow wire through the loop, pulling tightly. Now, gently pull the bow out, separating the bow wire around to the back and tying in a double knot.
To make the antlers, First, draw an antler template (you can find examples online) or you can copy, paste and print this one.
Twist the ends of two chenille stems together (one is not long enough). Starting at one end, bend the chenille stems around the outline of the antler.
Once you reach the end of the outline, twist the two ends together. Cut off excess stems.
Make a second antler and turn it in the opposite direction when finish.
Next, hot glue the antlers on in-between the two bow loops on both sides.
And finally, glue on a red pom pom for the nose to the center of the hair bow.
This adorable reindeer hair bow can be tied to barrettes, clips, headbands or ponytail holders for the perfect holiday hair accessory!
