Sandy Sandler, the creator of the world’s easiest bowmaker, the Bowdabra, shows you how easy it is to make super simple and easy DIY Tree Topper Bows, Wreath Bows, Hanukkah Bows and ribbon flowers.
PRETTY DECORATIVE FLOWER FOR CHRISTMAS TREE TOPPER BOWS, BOUQUET OR HEADBAND
Sandy begins the project with the big Bowdabra. She uses a sliver scrunchy ribbon (a yard and a quarter) followed by a few blue and red wired ribbon strips (6.5” long). She ties it all and shapes out the ribbons like petals to finish the pretty decorative flower. This is a super simple and incredibly easy to make ribbon flower for tree topper bows.
PRETTY TERRI BOW FOR TREE / WREATH
Sandy uses a pink dovetailed ribbon (19” long and 2” wide). She scrunches another pink ribbon over it (29” long) with twist and turn method making loops. Now she scrunches a blue dovetailed ribbon (17” long and 2.5” wide) followed by another blue ribbon (33” long) that she scrunches again with the twist and turn method making loops. After shaping up the loops and the ribbons, she repeats the previous two steps with different ribbons, alternatively scrunching one ribbon straight and another one with loops. Lastly, Sandy tops all the ribbons with a few green mesh in the same manner, finishing the strikingly pretty Terri bow.
SILVER AND BLUE HANUKKAH BOW
Sandy uses blue and silver ribbons (26” long and 2.5” wide), folding and scrunching them down in the Bowdabra, making loops. She then scrunches a few décor balls over it and tops it all with another ribbon (18” long and 2.5” wide). She ties it all to finish the beautiful Hanukkah bow that can also be used as a gift wrap décor.
CUTE LITTLE HANUKKAH GIFT WRAP
Sandy scrunches a silver scrunchy ribbon in the Bowdabra followed by a blue ribbon (13.5” and 1.5” wide) with twist and turn method making loops. She inserts a strip of silver ribbon over it, topping it all with some star garlands. She ties it all to finish the cute little Hanukkah gift wrap.
PRETTY BLUE AND SILVER GIFT BOW MADE FROM SCRAP
For this project Sandy uses a Mini Bowdabra. She scrunches a blue ribbon (17” long and 3.5” wide) making loops followed by another ribbon (15” long and 2.5” wide), again making loops. She tops it with a silver and blue ribbon with twist and turn method and adds another blue ribbon strip over it, tying it all to finish the beautiful bow.
PRETTY BLUE AND SILVER CHRISTMAS TREE PICK
For this project, Sandy returns to big Bowdabra. She scrunches a sliver decorative pick along with a sliver ribbon (10” long). She then tops it with a blue ribbon (13.5” long and 1.5” wide) and scrunches another silver ribbon of same dimension. As a last addition, Sandy adds some décor balls to it.
SILVER AND BLUE WREATH
Sandy uses two dovetailed mesh ribbons (15” long and 2” wide) and scrunches them straight. She then scrunches another same ribbon (37” long) with twist and turn method making loops. Next, she tops it with a dovetailed printed ribbon (20” long and 2.5” wide) and uses a blue ribbon (38” long), scrunching it making loops in X manner. She scrunches another printed ribbon (12” long and 2” wide) over it again making loops. The finished bow can be used as a beautiful wreath for doors and windows.
