You can vary the colors and sizes of the cape to personalize it to your pup. The superhero pet costume is sure to be a hit. This costume couldn’t be easier to create. And the bow embellishment adds just the right touch!
Materials:
1.5” x 18” Black Ribbon
(2) 1.5” x 1.5” Silver Bowdabra Rhinestone Mesh
1 Orange Feather
(3) 2” Curly Ribbon
Felt Triangle Sized to Fit Pet
Now we’re going to make this really cute puppy superhero pet costume. So, I’m going to start with a piece of fabric or felt. I’m using orange felt here. And what I want to do is wrap it around to make it the right size for my puppy in order to tie it off. And then I’m going to cut my triangle.
Next, what I’m going to do is I’m going to fold my triangle in half so that I know that when I place the things on it, it’s going to be centered. I’ve already cut one H, and now I’m going to cut another one from our Bowdabra Rhinestone Mesh. And now I have my H. I could use a glue gun but right now I’m just going to use my Zots. I just put that on here and put this H right here, which is why I put the fold. Then I’m going to turn it over, take another glue dot, fabric adhesive, or a glue gun. So I make sure it’s at the same point as my other one. So let’s look on both sides there. And I’ll put my H here. So now, I have my “HH” for Halloween Hero.
Now I’m going to take my Mini Bowdabra, and I have my Bowdabra Bow Wire already cut and folded in half. And I’m going to just lay it into my Mini Bowdabra and just tuck the ends underneath.
Then, what I’m going to do is take this glittered sheer ribbon and I’m going to fold it in half and find the center. And I’m going to put it wrong side down into my Mini Bowdabra. Then I’m going to circle this back over here and again, the wrong side is down. Then I’m going to take this piece and I’m going to make an X, bring it through, and scrunch that down in the Bowdabra. Again, the wrong side is down. Now, I’m going to take the bottom loop, and just scrunch it down in the middle. And then I’m going to do exactly the same thing with this. So, it’s a little pinwheel bow. It’s very simple, just like you would make the hairbow. And I’ll just scrunch this down.
Then, I have this cute little feather that I’m going to lay into my bow and these cute little corker ribbons. Then I’m going to take my Bowdabra Bow Wire, pull it through my slipknot, hold my bow while it’s still tight in the Bowdabra, pull it out, separate the ends and bring it around to the back.

Now I’m going to take my Hero Hound bow, and a glue dot, glue gun or fabric adhesive attach to the cape. And then you have this adorable little Hero Hound costume.
