Now Sandy Sandler, designer, and creator of the Bowdabra, is going to show you how to create the patriotic bow set part two. It is so easy to make that you will want to make several bow sets to wear for any patriotic themed parties or events.
Materials:
4” x 1.5” Patriotic Ribbon
6” x 3 1/2” Red Bowdabra Scrunchie Ribbon
4” Wired Silver Ribbon
Tiny Piece of Blue Glittered Ribbon
Now we’re going to make the and super simple patriotic bow set part two. So, the first thing I’m going to do is take my Mini Bowdabra. I’ve got my wire already cut, and I’m going to fold it in half and lay it into the Mini Bowdabra. Then, I just tuck the ends underneath so they stay out of my way.
Now, I’ve already dovetailed this ribbon, but just as a refresher, to dovetail, what you want to do is fold your ribbon in half and then you just cut it towards the fold from the ends.
So, I’m going to find the center. Do a little mountain in the top and scrunch that in the Bowdabra because that keeps its shape really pretty. Then, I have this piece of Scrunchie Ribbon, and I’m going to just scrunch that. Next, I’ve got a little piece of glittered ribbon, and I have the wire edge here. And I’m going to just scrunch that down in the middle.
Then, I have this really fun, wired bead. And I’m going to just lay that down in the middle. Now, I’m going to take my Mini Bowdabra wand and scrunch down. Next, I take my Bowdabra bow wire and pull the wire through the loop. I hold my bow down tightly as I pull it out, separate the ends, bring it around to the back, and knot it.
I can just tie this, let’s just adjust the shape it a little bit, and I can tie this onto a headband, or onto a dog collar.
