Making beautiful hair bows without sewing or using hot glue is so much fun with the Bowdabra that anyone can do it in minutes. Sandy Sandler, Creator of the Bowdabra, creates 6 amazingly beautiful, no-sew DIY Hair Bows, all within just half an hour.
Sandy places a piece of pink tulle about 14 inches long (you can take any length you wish) in the Large Bowdabra and adds some more tulle pieces of various colors and patterns. She next takes some green ribbon pieces with pointed ends as petals for a ribbon rose. She adds pink petals (about 4 inches long pieces of ribbon) to complete the rose. Once tied up with the Bowdabra Bow Wire and shaped out with fluffs and puffs, the beautiful bow is tied to a headband with the Bow Wire woven through the seam. It just takes Sandy two minutes to make but the super simple bow looks adorable for any little girl to wear.sew
Using the Mini Bowdabra and the Hairbow Tool and Ruler, Sandy places a few pieces of patterned, dovetailed cream ribbon (you can buy it from the Bowdabra Store) and scraps of textured black ribbon with leopard pattern (about two and a quarter inches on each side), arranged alternately. She adds a pink ribbon bow and a some cute little pink beads to the arrangement and then tied it up with the Bow Wire. Attached to a bobby pin, this makes a super cute no-sew or hot glue hair bow.
Sandy places a piece of yarn across the Mini Bowdabra and then winds a long length of yarn around the pillars about 60 times to make a thick bundle. She uses the piece of yarn placed first to tie up the bundle and cut the loops to make a pom pom. In a similar fashion, Sandy makes a tiny pom pom by wrapping the yarn around just one pillar and not both together.
Sandy now uses scraps of patterned blue ribbon and white polka-dotted blue ribbon placed neatly into the Mini Bowdabra. With a flower added to it in the middle it becomes a lovely no-sew hairbow. Sandy makes another similar hairbow and ties both together to make a gorgeous hairbow that looks like full bloomed flower.
Sandy takes two pieces of black and white ribbons (each about 17 inches long) and makes a bow with a slight twist and pinch exactly down the middle to leave equal sized loops on both sides – one black and one white. She adds a piece of Rhinestone Silver mesh to the bow to make it look a stunningly elegant sia bow.
With a few pieces of white ribbon that have a streak of pink down the middle, Sandy makes a quick hairbow that can be easily attached to a bobby pin.
One trick for putting a charm or a bead into your bow is to thread your Bow Wire through it before placing the Bow Wire in the Bowdabra. Sandy weaves a charm through the wire. Then she uses a green ribbon to make a little bow in the Mini Bowdabra. Over the arrangement she adds another cute bow with a polka dotted ribbon. Tied up with the Bow Wire it makes a cute little hair bow you can put on a bobby pin, a headband or a bandana.
