One of the hardest things is at holiday time to figure out a quick easy Christmas or anytime gift that you can give to teachers, as a hostess gift, and more. And the best part is that it can be used any time of the year.
I’m starting with a gift bag. So, I’m going to do kind of what I do for a gift basket. First, I’ll take some fill. And I’m just putting some of this red fill, because this is going to be like a holiday, probably a Christmas gift for a teacher. And so, I’m just going to put the fill in the bottom of the bag just to add a little bit of a more seasonal color.
Filling your whisk with candy
Now, I’m going to put that aside. Next, I’m going to take a whisk and I’m going to throw some of these cute little candies inside my whisk and just sort of fill it up a little bit. So, I just keep adding more candies. And of course, you may have a little bit of trouble with them wanting to stay inside, but I think we will be able to get this pretty well.
Now what to do is just take my whisk and carefully put it down into my bag. Then I add that little candy inside because it is a little easier once it is in the bag. And I’ll just set that up there. I have this cute little cookie mix, and I’ll add the cookie mix right in here so it will stand up. I will just set this aside.
Next, I’m going to pull out my Bowdabra. I’ve already cut my Bowdabra Bow Wire. So I’m going to do what I do every time. I fold it in half, lay it down into my Bowdabra, and just tuck the ends underneath so they stay out of the way.
I have this really great seasonal wired ribbon. So, I’m just going to scrunch it into my Bowdabra. And I just keep scrunching it down. Then, I’m going to take my wand and just push everything down. I insert my two wire ends through the loop; hold my bow while it is still in the Bowdabra. And pull tight. Then I separate the ends, bring them around to the back, and tie a knot. I saw something like this all over Pinterest and I thought it was a really cute idea. Everybody said, we whisk you a Merry Christmas but we are using “Whisking you a Merry Christmas.” If you don’t want to say Christmas, you can do “Whisking you Happy Holidays.”
Finishing your Bowdabra Christmas or anytime gift
I’ve got to cut the end off of this and probably make my hole just a tad bigger. And just put that through there. Now I’m going to take back my little gift bag. And a little sort of secret for doing them is just kind of fold this in, and on the other side just kind of fold it in. And I’m using the handle of the whisk to connect my bow. I want to make sure I do this the right way, so I’m going to take this and make sure that I get my wire correct around here. I bring my wire around the back and tie it really tight. But rather than tying a knot, I just tie a bow so it will be really easy for the recipient of my gift to untie it. And you have a really cute little holiday gift.
