Bowdabra Hanukkah hostess gift
Materials:
- Bowdabra
- 18” Silver Bowdabra Wire
- 6”Scrunchie Ribbon
- 9” x 7” Royal Blue Felt
- (3) 4” Round Specialty Metallic Garland
- (1) 16” Round Specialty Metallic Garland
- (9) 6” Hanukkah Candles
Now, I’m going to make a cute little Hanukkah hostess gift. So, I’m going to take my Bowdabra Bow Wire, fold it in half, and lay it down in the Bowdabra. Then, I’m just going to tuck the ends in underneath.
Make the bow
Now, I’m going to make the bow, and I’m taking some silver scrunch ribbon and just scrunching that down in here. Next, I have these cute little blue and silver pieces of garland that I just cut off so I’ll just stick that into the Bowdabra. You can, of course, use anything you want.
Now I’m going to take my loop, pull the two ends through it. I hold my bow down in the Bowdabra and pull it really, really tight. Now pull it out, separate the ends, and bring it around to the back. And I’m going to just tie a knot. Finally, I’m just going to kind of fluff it a little bit and just set it aside.
Add the candles
Then what I’m going to do is take this piece of felt. Now I cheated, and I’ve already marked exactly where I want to cut, and this is where I want it to end. So, the felt is folded in half. And I’m just going to cut just like that, right to the end. I’m going to cut four slits. This is such a really cute little hostess gift idea. The only thing that I would want to be aware of is to make sure that if you’re using candles in here, that the candles that you use are kosher. So be sure if you’re bringing them to someone who has a kosher home.
So, all I’m going to do here is just weave my candles through here. And I’m going to keep doing the same thing all the way through. I’m doing this one with nine candles, so it is for the last night of Hanukkah. And I have this one already finished. So, all I’m going to do is just roll it up. And once it’s rolled up, I’m just going to take my piece of the ribbon that I put in for the bow, and I’m just going to tie this and knot it. And then I’m just going I’m going to leave the ends. I kind of like them.
Finishing your hostess gift
And I’m going to take my bow, get the ends of it, and I’m just going to tie my bow on here and knot it. And then I’m going to just sort of shape it. When you finish you have this really, really cute little Hanukkah hostess gift that even your kids can help you make.
