Fall Rustic wedding bouquet
Materials
- Bowdabra
- Bow Wire (26″ long)
- Assorted silk (or real) flowers
- Thin Veil Lace Fabric (36″ wide, 42″ long)
- Scissors
“I love how lace is really in style now, so I thought what I would do is make a really simple fall rustic wedding bouquet for an autumn wedding.
So the first thing that I’m going to do is add my Bowdabra bow wire. Fold the Bowdabra Bow Wire in half and just lay it into the Bowdabra. Then, tuck it under to keep it out of the way while we add the other elements. Since we’re going to be putting a lot of stuff into the Bowdabra I’m going to turn it this way.
Next, I’m going to add my silk flowers. I’m actually designing my bouquet right now as we speak. These flowers are silk. You could, of course, use real, but I love doing silks because they can be done in advance and you can save them. So I’m laying my flowers in here, and with the fall theme, we’re going use sunflowers.
Finishing your wedding bouquet
And I’m just going to lay these in. And then I’m just going to take my Bowdabra Bow Wire and pull it through the slip knot. I hold all my florals down in here and pull it really tight. Then I separate the ends so this way I’m not struggling with holding everything together. So next, I just bring it around to the back, tie it off, and knot it.
To finish, I clip the ends. So it’s great because then you don’t more than two hands to hold everything together. This is just so very, very simple. All I’m going to do is take my lace, tie it around my bouquet. Then, I’m just going to let the lace fall, so you have a really pretty bouquet.”
