Hi everyone, Steph here today celebrating Straw Hat Month with Bowdabra. Who knew that we had a straw hat month to celebrate?
Supplies:
Bowdabra Bow Making and Design Tool
Bowdabra Gold Wire
2″ wide Ribbon
Beacon Adhesive
Straw Hat
First, cut an 18″ length of Bow Wire, fold in half and place in the Bowdabra. Tuck the bow wire under the Bowdabra to keep it out of your way while you create your bow.
Leaving a 4″ length of ribbon, place the ribbon in the Bowdabra. Fold the ribbon creating a 2″ loop. Twist the ribbon and place it in the channel.
Continue creating loops, twisting the layers each time you finish a loop. Once 4 loops have been created on each side, pull up on the bow wire and tie off. Fluff out the bow.
Finishing your Straw Hat
Take a length of ribbon that will fit the circumference of your hat. Using Fabri-Tac from Beacon Adhesives, glue ribbon around hat.
Position the bow on the hat and use the bow wire to tie the bow to the hat. Also use some Fabri-Tac for extra support.
Don’t stop here! You can change the color ribbon to match your outfits. Make one for every ensemble and occasion. A straw hat makes a great gift as well, so make some extras for all your friends and relatives.
Thanks for stopping by.
