Today we have a wonderful little cat toy wand for your feline friends, quickly made with the Bowdabra. Watch Sandy Sandler, the creator of the Bowdabra as she makes a fun fleece cat toy wand. It’s so easy to create and you and your cat will have hours of fun and exercise as you play together.

Materials
“Hi. Today we’re going to make a really cute little cat toy wand. So, I’m going to get started and take my Bowdabra Bow Wire, fold it in half and lay that down into my Bowdabra.
Then I’m going to take pre-cut strips that I have of fleece, and I’m just going to lay them down into the middle. And I’ve got them laid out here so that they’re all different widths, which I think is kind of more fun. So, we’ve got a colorful little toy for your cat to play with.
And I’m just sort of moving these in the Bowdabra to kind of make them even. And then just sort of lay this color in. Next lay the blue, and then put this thicker white. To continue, I put a little of this lighter blue. And I’m just going to start over here and just throw this in. And actually, I’m going to grab my blue and white. Really, how you do this is just kind of laying them all in so you have all different shapes and colors mixed into the toy. So I lay another one here, and my last piece of white.
Then I take my wand and I’m just going to scrunch everything down into my Bowdabra. Bring this back up here. Pull my two ends through my loop. I pull it really, really, really tight, separate the ends and bring it around to the back and make sure that back piece doesn’t get tied in. Then what I’m going to do is tie a knot. I absolutely make sure that I tie a double knot, because your little, furry baby is going to be playing with it.
This time, however, I’m just going to clip one end, because we’re going to use the other end to tie it onto my dowel. This is how I tied it. I tied these two. I just sort of want to measure this third one so it’s kind of in between the other two. So, I’ll just fold my wire over here because now I know my measurement.
And the next thing that I’m going to do is take my glue gun and I’m just going to do a little strip there. Then, I’m going to take where my fold was and I’m going to just wrap the wire around the glue. And then just for extra security, I’m going to just add another layer of glue over. And then you have this really cute little toy for you and your cat to play with.
