Let’s hope for the luck o’ the Irish on St. Patrick’s Day, so we have sunshine!! And when that sun shines, you’ll be ready with this luck o’ the Irish visor. You will be ready for the day when everyone is Irish, with this fun tutorial from Bowdabra designer Carole Lassak.
Cut the grosgrain ribbon in 6″ and 12″ lengths, and the glitter ribbon in 4″ and 8″ lengths.
Fold the bow wire in half, and lay in the Mini Bowdabra.
Layer the ribbons in the Mini Bowdabra. Start with the 6″ length of grosgrain. Next, using the 12″ length of grosgrain, make a bow with one loop on each side. Now add the 4″ length of glitter ribbon, following by a bow using the 8″ length.
With the ribbons in place in the Mini Bowdabra, pass the ends of the bow wire through the loop and tighten. Bring the wire ends to the back of the bow and tie securely.
Embellish your visor. I used my Zing electronic cutting machine to cut the saying and shamrocks out of vinyl. Embellishing options are endless—ink and rubber stamps; freehand drawings with marker; stickers. Attach the bow with strong adhesive or hot glue.
May your pockets be heavy and your heart be light, may good luck pursue you each morning and night. Wear your visor in good health.
