Christmas party favor bags are a great way to get the party started with a beautiful holiday table display! Make your party a memorable way to send off guests with this fabulous Bowdabra holiday favor bag with bow ribbon handles, filled with special treats.
Here’s how to make: Gather
Double sided decorative cardstock
Ribbon – 3/8″ wide
Paper bone scorer
Tacky glue
Favor bag template
Scissors
Mini Bowdabra tool and ruler, bow wire and wand
First, copy, paste, and save the box template to cut out on cardstock. Score all lines and fold. Cut 1″ folds on left and right sides.
Add glue on side flaps to secure box.
Next, fold cover on bottom fold lines.
Glue bottom of box to inside of cover.
For handles, cut and seal two 17″ strips of ribbon. Glue one end on cover bottom 1″ from edge, wrapping around in a U shape and gluing on bottom 1″ from edge on opposite side. Repeat for second ribbon handle. Add tacky glue to portion of ribbon handle on cover, front and back and press together.
Next, cut a 16″ piece of bow wire, fold in half, and place in the Mini Bowdabra, tucking ends under.
To make bows, cut and seal four – 6″ strips of ribbon. Dovetail two strips by folding ends together lengthwise and cutting at an angle on fold.
Take one of the dovetail ribbon strips and lay in the Mini Bowdabra, centering right side up.
Next, pinch the end of a plain ribbon strip and place in the Mini Bowdabra on top of the tail.
Squeeze the other ribbon end up and over the tower and insert into the Mini Bowdabra.
Pinch the center into the Mini Bowdabra and scrunch down the bow with the Mini Bowdabra wand.
While the bow is still in the Mini Bowdabra, push the loose ends of the bow wire through the loop, pulling tightly and gently pulling it out, tying the wire to the back in a knot.
Cut off excess bow wire, fluff loops and straighten tails. Make a second bow the same way.
Glue on bows, as pictured.
Good things come in fabulous packages – especially those adorned with Bowdabra Bows that are so tastefully chic! Why not make a few!
