What I’ve seen as trend lately is a lot of lace and burlap combination. So what I did is get a vase from the dollar store and a beautiful little piece of lace. And this is a really simple craft you make. You can give them as gifts, and you can even sell them at a craft show, because they’re so simple, but it’s so elegant looking.
So just take my lace, lay that down in here, and I’m just going to gather it up around my vase. And then to tie it, I’ve got my piece of Bowdabra Bow Wire that I’ve folded in half. So I’m just going to bring it around the vase and pull it through the slipknot here. And separate the ends bring them around here and then I’m just going to tie it off. I’ll knot it, and cut the ends. And I just love how the lace just kind of lays down there.
Make the bow for the DIY rustic vase
And then I’m going to add a burlap bow. So I’m going to take my Mini Bowdabra and lay that down into it, take my Bowdabra Bow Wire, fold it in half and lay it into the Mini Bowdabra. And then I love this burlap because it’s just very simple and fun, and just fold this back and forth. And this is wired burlap, and I think I actually bought this at Wal-Mart. So it is very inexpensive. I think I got the lace at Wal-Mart also, in case you’re curious.
And just fold this in here, take my Bowdabra Bow Wire and bring the wire through the loop, separate the ends, bring it around back and tie a knot. Next, I’m going to take my bow and fluff it, and just tie this right here and then knot it, and clip the ends here. Now I have a really, really pretty vase.
