“For this hair bow, I’m going to take my Mini Bowdabra, my Hair Bow Tool and Ruler and just slip that over the Mini Bowdabra. Then I’m going to take my Bowdabra Bow Wire, fold it in half and lay that down into my Mini Bowdabra.
And I just love this ribbon because it’s so cute for a fall bow. I’m going to take this ribbon. We’ve already cut this, so it’s about a 5-inch long piece of ribbon. I’m going to just scrunch it in the middle and make sure that I’m even. So I should be – yeah, I’ve got that even in the middle. We’ve dovetailed the end and sealed it with a lighter.
Now this one, I’m going to take the long side and put it down, and scrunch that down. And again, I’m doing my mountain fold here, so I crease it in the middle and put it down. That way we don’t have to sew. So there’s no sewing in this bow. So now I’m going to do the same thing and scrunch that down. Now we’re going to find the middle and I’m going to scrunch this down and just measure them and make sure that we’re even on both sides, and we are.
I have these little strips of grosgrain that I’ve dovetailed and sealed, and I’m just going to put those in. And I’m doing three. For some reason, having an odd number always works better. The next thing I’ll do is just scrunch everything down with my little Bowdabra wand. I’m going to take my Bowdabra Bow Wire, pull it here; pull it tight while it’s still in the Bowdabra. Separate my ends and bring it around to the back and tie it off.
Now because the wire is gold and it kind of matches with the fall look, you don’t have to finish it, but I like to have a finished look on this bow. I just feel like it will be nicer. So what I’m going to do is glue this strip on. I’m going to take my glue gun, put a little bit of glue there and just going to attach it here, bring it around to the front and then just glue it again right here. And clip off my wires, and just going to tie it and clip this off, and then I’ll just tie my spiky sunflower hair bow onto a barrette.
