“Now we’re going to make a charming boutique hairbow that’s stacked and twisted. And it’s really cute. All we’re going to need for this is our Mini Bowdabra and our Bowdabra Hair Bow Tool and Ruler.
So, I’m just going to slip the ruler right over the Mini Bowdabra the inches side up. And I have my Bowdabra Bow Wire, which I’m going to fold it in half, and I’m going to lay that down into the Mini Bowdabra. Then, I’m just going to tuck the ends in underneath so they stay out of my way.
Now I’m going to take 29 inches of a 1 1/2-wide grosgrain ribbon. You can use any color. I’ve just chosen to use black for this. And I’m going to take the center, fold it in half, and take the center and just put that right into my Mini Bowdabra. Then what I’m going to do is take one side and I’m just going to take a little tiny end here and just push that down into my Bowdabra using my mountain up. So I’m just going to take the middle and push that down right into my Bowdabra. Now I’m going to make an X over this, and I’m going to do the same thing with my mountain up and just push that down into the Mini Bowdabra.
Next what I’m going to do is I’m going to take the ribbon that’s underneath and I’m going to just twist it twice and then now I’m going to put that into my Mini Bowdabra. So that goes right down in there. Then what I’m going to do is do exactly the same thing with the one on top. I’m going to twist it twice and just push back. And again, I’m making my crease in the middle, in the center, and then the sides lift up, and then that goes right down into my Mini Bowdabra.
I think I’m going to take my wand and kind of scrunch all that down. You can see the really cute little twisted look. So now what I’m going to do is take my piece of pink linen ribbon. Again, I’m going to fold that in half. This is a really pretty May Arts ribbon, but you can use any ribbon that you want. And I’m going to do exactly the same thing. I’m going to fold this over and I’m just going to push that down into my Mini Bowdabra. Then I’m going to make an X and cross it over here, and push that down into the Mini Bowdabra.
Just so you know, I cheated before starting this bow, and already sealed the ends of the ribbon with a lighter. Then, what I’m going to do is the same thing that I did with the black ribbon. I’m going to take the ribbon that is on the bottom, and I’m going to twist it twice and loop it, and just push that down into my Mini Bowdabra.
Now I’m going to take this, twist it twice and do the same thing. And I’m going to take my wand, and there’s a lot of ribbon in here. I think you could even probably make this bow with a regular Bowdabra. I take my Bowdabra Bow Wire and I’m going to make a slipknot. Pull it through and hold my bow really tight down in the Bowdabra and pull it tight, separate my ends, bring my bow out, bring the ends around and I’m going to tie a really tight knot.
And then I’m going to take my clip, and I’m just going to tie – put the clip behind the bow here, and I’m going to bring my wire through the clip and bring it around the back of the clip, and again, bring it around the back of the clip. I’m going to do that one more time. So I’m going to bring this wire around the back and then the same wire, so that it will stay in place. Next, I’m just going to bring this through and tie a knot, and I’m going to tie another knot. Then, take my scissors and clip this close and close my clip. We hope you enjoyed making this charming boutique hair bow today!
To finish my bow off and hide my knot, I’m going to take my glue gun and put a little glue on the back of my rhinestone here, and put the rhinestone right in the center. And then I’ll fluff it up.
