How to make a glittery cheer bow- video tutorial

Materials:

Bowdabra Mini

Bowdabra Hair Bow Tool and Ruler

Bowdabra Bow Wire (18”)

Red Glitter Ribbon (1 1/2” x 14”)

Silver Glitter Ribbon (1 1/2” x 14”)

Rhinestone Mesh (4”)

Scissors

Lighter

Glue

Glittery cheer bow

So we’re going to make a really simple glittery cheer bow. I’m going to start with my Mini Bowdabra and my Bowdabra tool. Now here, I’m just using 1-inch wide ribbon, but you can do the exact same thing with the 1 1/2 or 2-inch wide. First, I have to put my Bowdabra Bow Wire in. So, I fold it in half, lay that down into the Mini Bowdabra and I’m just going to tuck that underneath so it stays out of my way.

Then, what I’m going to do is take my red ribbon and I’m going to put the wrong side down. And I’m just going to scrunch that in there. Then I’m going to fold it back.  I’m going to put my mountain up here so that as I slide it in, the sides will come up. And that’s going to give me my perfect no-sew hair bow.

So now I’m going to do the same thing here. I’m going to scrunch that down in there and make it 3 inches. Then, I’ll fold that back over and just scrunch that in. Next, I’m going to take my silver Bowdabra Bow wire, make my loop and pull it through tight while it’s still in the Mini Bowdabra. Then, separate the ends and bring it around to the back and tie it off.

Now I think my tails on here when I pre-cut this ribbon are a little long. So what I’m going to do is I’m going to cut both tails a little shorter. Make sure that they’re even. I use my measuring thing to – that’s about 5 inches, so we need to make this – cut this right here. So I’m just going to dovetail the ends and on this one do exactly the same thing. You dovetail it by folding it in half and cutting it towards the ends so you have a perfect dovetail.

Add the bling

Then I’m going to take my bling, and I’m going to glue them. I’m just going to put some glue on here and I’m going to glue this around, and let me get a little bit more glue back here and glue that. And then when it dries – I’m just going to hold that together. There we go. And then when it dries, I’m going to use the ends and I’m going to tie them onto my ponytail holder. And then you have this really cute blinged out glittery cheer bow.
