This super easy headband does double duty! It’s an adorable headband for you, and is additionally a cute bow that’s easy to switch out for your pup! Vivee looks adorable in her new bow!

So to make this super easy headband, we’re going to take our Mini Bowdabra, and I’m going to put my Bowdabra Hair Bow Tool Ruler on top. Next, I’m going to take my Bowdabra Bow Wire and fold it in half, and lay that down into my Mini Bowdabra and just tuck that underneath to keep that out of the way.
Then I have my grosgrain – this is my grosgrain, it’s actually kind of a satin grosgrain. And I’m going to fold it in the middle, put it down inside into my Bowdabra. And then I’m going to make about a 2 1/2 inch loop, fold it back and forth and just twist. And now I’m going to fold here. So I’ve got two loops with that side, and I’m going to do exactly the same thing with this. And so now I have my even tails, and that’s my first step.
Next what I’m going to do is I’m going to take this really pretty sheer ribbon. I’ve already dovetailed the ends. And I’m going to fold it in half and put this down into my Bowdabra. Then, in order to keep my tails, I’m going to measure my tail so it’s a little bit shorter than this and just put this in here. Then I’m going to make an x over the top of this, bring my tail through so my tails are the same length. So I’m measuring my tail out about two inches. So I’m going to push this tail down in here, so that’s about two inches long.
We’re going to do the same thing on the other side, and I’m measuring that tail using my two inches here and just push that down. Now as you can see, I have the x here. So, I’m going to take my lower end now and push that down into my Bowdabra.
Next thing, I’m actually going to take my wand and just scrunch everything down in there. And then I’m going to take the top x and do exactly the same thing: push that down into my Bowdabra. And I’m going to use my wand again to kind of scrunch everything down.
Now I’m going to take my Bowdabra Bow Wire, pull this through the loop, pull it tight, separate the ends, bring it around to the back. Finally, I’m going to tie it off. Tie a knot and fluff it a little bit.
But I have a flower that I’m going to glue right into the center of my bow, and I’m not cutting the ends off because I’m going to tie this onto a headband. So I’m going to just glue my flower there. It’s really pretty. Oops, don’t burn myself with that glue. Always be careful with your hot glue guns. And I’m going to take the part where it’s sewn to the seam ends, and I’m just going to pull my wire through here. Open it up and pull the wire through, and then I’m going to bring the wire back through the other side and then just tie it off. Knot it. And you have a beautiful headband.
