Do you make handmade ornaments for your tree? We like to make a few new ornaments each year. I was cleaning out my cupboard last week, and I found a few canning jar lids that didn’t have a matching jar. I’m still not sure how that happened. Normally it’s the other way around, right? I almost threw them away, but then I thought that they may make nice vintage looking Christmas ornaments. If you have a few simple craft supplies, then you have everything that you need to make a canning lid ornament too.
Supplies:
Begin by hot gluing the fabric circle to the inner portion of the canning jar lid. Hot glue the inner part into the rim.
Pull out the mini Bowdabra. Use the Bowdabra bow wire and ribbon to make a small bow for the top of the ornament.
Hot glue the bow to the top of the canning jar lid.
Since the Bowdabra bow wire matches the ornament, I am using it for an ornament hanger. Cut a piece of bow wire and hot glue it to the back of the lid in the center.
That’s it! Simple, right? I love the vintage look!
