Burlap Wrapped Candle

Burlap Wrapped Candle

Candles are an all-time favorite gift. I love giving and receiving all different types of candles. I have a small candle collection, but discovering a new candle scent never gets old! If you feel the same, I have a quick and easy way to dress up candles for you today. A Burlap Wrapped Candle is a neat way to color coordinate your candles to your own home decor or to personalize candles that you may be giving as a gift.

Supplies:

  • Burlap
  • Ribbon
  • Bowdabra bow wire
  • Mini Bowdabra
  • Scissors
  • Hot glue and hot glue gun
  • Candle in glass candle holder

Begin by cutting a length of burlap that will wrap around the glass candle. Regarding the width, I made mine wide enough to still leave approximately 1/2 inch of the glass at the top and bottom of the glass exposed. Wrap the burlap around the glass and hot glue it in place.

Cut a length of ribbon and wrap it around the burlap. Use the hot glue to secure it in place.

Now grab your Mini Bowdabra, ribbon, and Bowdabra Bow Wire to create the bow.

Place a piece of Bowdabra Bow Wire across the Mini Bowdabra. Place a piece of ribbon across the wire.

Fold the ribbon to create a bow loop and take it back through the Mini Bowdabra.

Continue until the bow has as many loops as you desire.

Bring up the bow wire and use it to secure the bow.

Hot glue the completed bow to the front of the candle over the ribbon.

Your candle is ready to display or give as a gift!
