There’s nothing cuter than a kid waving a patriotic flag or streamers. With just a few crafting supplies, it’s easy to make your own DIY patriotic streamers for all your kiddos. Having a Fourth of July party? Make these to have on the kids’ table and give them out as party favors.
Supplies:
Begin by painting the dowel rod blue. Let it dry completely.
Grab the Mini Bowdabra. Place a piece of Bowdabra bow wire across the Mini Bowdabra.
Place a piece of ribbon in the Mini Bowdabra. Be sure to leave a very long tail. The tail will be the streamer.
Create a loop and bring the ribbon back through the Mini Bowdabra.
Continue bringing the ribbon back and forth until the desired amount of loops are achieved.
Use the scruncher to push down the bow. Then use the Bowdabra Bow Wire to pull the bow out of the Mini Bowdabra. Tie the bow wire to secure the bow.
Make as many bows as you need to go around the dowel rod. This may vary according to the size ribbon that you are using. I made three bows.
Snip the ends of the bow wire. Hot glue the bows around the dowel rod.
My daughter has already been waving her patriotic streamers. Happy Fourth of July!
