Recycled 4th of July Wreath with Bowdabra Firecracker Bow

I love decorating my home for the 4th of July. Some of my decor is always Americana but I do like to add special decor items for the actual 4th of July. I love wreaths and have them hanging on both doors. The front door wreath is a basket of flowers and I will often change out the bow and stick something in the basket to match the theme. Do you recycle wreaths by switching out bows? It is my frugal crafty specialty which saves me time and money!!

Materials Needed:

• Assorted Ribbons including Silver, Red, White & Blue Ribbon
• Wreath
• Mini Bowdabra
• Bowdabra Bow Wire
• Scissors

Instructions:

1. Begin by gathering all the materials you will need to make this project. Have a new wreath or take off the bow from an old one and reuse it for this project. Here is my door wreath before making the new one.

2. To make the bow for the wreath cut 18? of Bowdabra Bow Wire and fold the wire in half. Place the wire into the Mini Bowdabra.

3. Take the silver wire ribbon and make a long tail approximately 6 inches. Fold and press the ribbon into the Bowdabra to begin to form your loops.

4. Continue folding and pressing the ribbon to form additional loops.

5. Add in various 6 inch strips of red, white and blue ribbon.

6. Scrunch down with the Bowdabra Wand. Thread the wire ends through the loop. Pull the wire tightly. Remove the bow from the Bowdabra and knot the back.

7. Fluff the bow.

8. Use the remaining Bowdabra Bow Wire to tie the bow to the wreath. I left the extra wire on and added it to the bow decor by giving it a little twist.

Enjoy your new recycled 4th of July Wreath! No one will ever know that it only took a few minutes to make!
