Do you have all of your summer travel plans set? Where are you going? We have already traveled from Illinois to Texas and back so far this summer with plans to go to a few other states. When making plans, don’t forget to plan activities for the car. We have always made trip travel journals for each girl.
This journal is their go-to spot to dribble, draw, play tic-tac-toe, play connect the dot, jot down state licence plates, play hang man and more! Oh yes, some even use their pages to put their unwanted gum. I’ve seen it all over the years! We all love this travel journal because the pages are in the book instead of all over the car.
We challenge you to create this extremely quick and easy project. Once you have your supplies it can be made in minutes! We have also made flower pens to go with the journals. Check out this flower pen tutorial.
Check out the Summer Memories Vacation Memorabilia Organizer which is a similar idea that you can do once you get back from your trip. We’ve made these and will add pages from the travel journal to this book.
Materials Needed:
Instructions:
1. Gather supplies.
2.Cut scrapbook paper to fit the front and back cover of the notebook. Use double sided tape to attach paper.
3. Attach stickers, letters and embellishments to book.
4. Gather up drawing pens and pencils and add all of it to a ziplock bag. This will keep it handy and makes for a good storage idea for the car. If you have room, add all of their creative, car projects into a little bucket or basket. This works great for them to take with them in and out of the car.
