Create handmade bows for small dogs using the Mini Bowdabra and Hair Bow Tool & Ruler. Design a top knot bow for small dogs. Attach the top knot bow to tiny elastic bands, french clips, or use Girlie Glue to glue the bow right to your dog’s head. Instructions:
1. Begin by gathering all the materials you will need to make a top knot dog bow.
2. Cut 18″ of either twine or Bowdabra Bow Wire. Fold it in half and place it into the Mini Bowdabra – tuck the ends under.
3. Cut a strand of ribbon 2″ long and dovetail the ends. Seal then end with either nail polish or a lighter. Place the strand into the Mini Bowdabra use the ruler to line up the ribbon strand.
4. Cut a 4″ stand of grosgrain ribbon.
5. Fold the ribbon ends into the center and form a 1.5 loop.
6. Press the ribbon at the center into the Mini Bowdabra.
7. Scrunch down with the Mini Bowdabra Wand.
8. Thread the twine through the loop, pull the twine tightly.
9. Bring the twine around to the back and knot.
10. Fluff the bow and starch or hair spray it to keep it stiff.
11. Thread a glass bead onto the twine and knot it in the back. Trim away excess.
12. Follow the instructions to make several different colored top knot dog bows.
13. Use Girlie Glue to attach to bow to the dog’s head.
