This weekend my little girl and I did some baking. She wanted to make mini cinnamon rolls, for her classmates, for Valentine’s Day. We used food coloring to make both pink and green mini cinnamon rolls. We finished the treats by packaging them and adding little decorative ribbons.
I know that Valentine’s Day is tomorrow but the cinnamon rolls are real easy to make and probably most of the stuff you already have on hand. However, if you don’t have time for Valentine’s Day how about St. Patrick’s Day? The green little cinnamon rolls looked so cute and would make neat little treats for the kids.
Recipe Ingredients: yields about 40 mini rolls
Preheat oven to 400 degrees
Grease a cookie sheet
Mix food coloring and milk together till you get the desired color. Blend baking mix and milk. Turn onto a surface dusted with baking mix and knead about 20 times.
Roll to 15? x 8? rectangle.
Spread with margarine or butter. Sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon. Cut the dough in half the long way. Roll each half up and slice into about .5? pieces.
We made another batch using green food coloring.
Once both batches were cooled we placed one pink and one green into muffin tins.
We wrapped each the paper muffin tins in bags and tied with bobbin ribbon.
