Today I am going to show you how to make a Halloween Applique T-Shirt with a matching bow for your little girl’s hair.
Here are the supplies you will be needing to create some Halloween cuteness.
Mini Bowdabra
Bowdabra Bow Wire
1.5”³ Black Grosgrain
1.5”³ Sheer Orange(polka dotted)
7/8? Orange Grosgrain Ribbon
.5? Ribbon of various patterns and colors
Alligator Clip
Halloween Fabric or a Halloween Bandanna
T-shirt
Instructions:
I found these Bandannas for1.99 at Joann’s Fabric & Craft Store.
To make the t-shirt: Cut a candy corn shape out of your bandanna and place ribbon on the applique. I decided to add a mini bow using my Mini Bowdabra. I sewed all the ribbon onto my applique. I then added the applique to my shirt. Easy peasy.
Top stitching also helps keep everything flat and nice looking. I absolutely recommend it.
Now that your shirt is finished, you can move onto creating a fantastic boutique style bow to match.
Cut a 18”³ piece of Bowdabra Bow Wire and put it into the Mini Bowdabra.
Next, I cut a 2 ribbon sprays with angle edges. I used clear nail polish to seal the edges. I creased the spray and placed it into the Mini Bowdabra.
Then create a large Boutique Style Hair Bow.
Next, I scrunched the bow down with my Mini Bowdabra Wand. While the bow was still in the Mini Bowdabra, I threaded the two loose ends of the Mini Bowdabra Bow Wire through the loop at the other end. I pulled the Bowdabra Bow Wire tightly while the bow was still in the Mini Bowdabra. I then gently pull the bow out of the Mini Bowdabra. I then separated the two loose ends of the Bowdabra Bow Wire and brought them around to the back of the bow and knotted. I attached the bow to a hair clip and added a finishing ribbon. It’s so simple and easy.
I hope you have fun crafting for Halloween. I know I am!
Happy Crafting!
