To make your spiked flower bow we recommend using wire ribbon, along with the Mini Bowdabra, Hair Bow Tool & Ruler, and Bowdabra Bow Wire.
To begin cut several strips of wire ribbon 6? long. Next, fold one end in creating an angle; cut along the crease. Fold the other side in the opposite direction and cut along that crease, as well.
Once both sides have been cut at opposite angles use either a lighter or clear nail polish to seal the ends. Use extreme caution when running a lighter along the ribbon. Use the blue flame of the lighter and run it very quickly along the ribbon’s edge to seal it. Cut and seal several pieces of 6? wire ribbon.
Next, place the Hair Bow Tool onto of the Mini Bowdabra. Cut an 18? piece of Bowdabra Bow Wire and fold it in half and place it into the Mini Bowdabra. Then pinch the center of the ribbon and place it in the Mini Bowdabra. Use the ruler as your guide to place the ribbon pieces evenly.
When all the ribbon strands have been placed into the Mini Bowdabra, scrunch it all down with your Mini Bowdabra Wand.
While the bow is still in the Mini Bowdabra, thread the two loose ends of the Bowdabra Bow Wire through the loop at the other end. Pull the Bowdabra Bow Wire tightly while the bow is still in the Mini Bowdabra. Gently pull the bow out of the Mini Bowdabra. Separate the two loose ends of the Bowdabra Bow Wire and bring them around to the back of the bow. To tie off the bow, pinch the Bowdabra Bow Wire securely against the bow. Twist the bow 4 to 6 times in a clockwise direction.
Fluff the bow! I love the looks of the spiked bow, as is! However, if you want to give it more height and color you can add another bow.
Make smaller spikes and place them into the Mini Bowdabra using the ruler as your guide.
Create loops on top of the spikes with smaller width wired ribbon. Follow the above steps to finish bow and fluff.
Using the Bowdabra Bow Wire attach the smaller spiked bow to larger spiked bow.
