We all want to bring touches of spring and summer into our home but replacing real flower bouquets and flower arrangements weekly can be very expensive. Or maybe because of family members with allergies real flowers in your home are not an option. Silk flowers are an easy solution to inexpensive floral arrangement decorating.
Use coupons, watch for sales and promotions, and search clearance bins to find cheap silk bunches. Also purchase inexpensive items like floral blocks, circle moss pot covering , and terra cotta pots.
Begin by cutting and trimming a foam floral block to fit inside of your terra cotta pot. Next, trim the moss covering and place it on top of the foam.
Next, using wire cutters trim the floral bunches one stem at a time. Trim the stem at an angle to give it a pointed end. The pointed end will make it easy to place the stem through the moss and floral block.
Continue adding silk flowers to your arrangement till you fill like you have enough at varying heights and colors.
If you are going to place your terra cotta pot on an a surface that could easily scratch attach felt along the bottom. Next, tie a ribbon around the top of the pot and dovetail the ends.
Finish your floral arrangement with a bow. Use the Mini Bowdabra, for easy bow making, and place the Hair Bow Tool & Ruler onto the Mini Bowdabra to help you make exact even loops.
First begin by cutting a piece of 18? Bowdabra Bow Wire, folding it in half, and placing it into the Mini Bowdabra.
To form your first loop place the ribbon end into the Mini Bowdabra Towers. Fold the ribbon using the ruler as your guide and create your first loop.
Continue folding the loops back and forth using the ruler to make exact even loops. Once you have enough loops trim your ribbon off of the spool.
Scrunch down with your Mini Bowdabra Wand.
While the bow is still in the Mini Bowdabra, thread the two loose ends of the Bowdabra Bow Wire through the loop at the other end. Pull the Bowdabra Bow Wire tightly while the bow is still in the Mini Bowdabra.
Gently pull the bow out of the Mini Bowdabra. Separate the two loose ends of the Bowdabra Bow Wire and bring them around to the back of the bow. To tie off the bow, pinch the Bowdabra Bow Wire securely against the bow. Twist the bow 4 to 6 times in a clockwise direction.
Fluff bow and tie it onto the ribbon around the front of the terra cotta pot. Spiral the remaining Bowdabra Bow Wire around a pencil to create fun ringlets.
Your easy and inexpensive floral arrangement is complete. Place it anywhere in your home that needs a little extra color or give the floral arrangement as a gift.
The Hair Bow Tool and Ruler easily fits over the Mini Bowdabra .
